Who We Are

A Bespoke
Whiskey House —
built for the few.

The Private Rickhouse is a bespoke whiskey house based in Dallas, Texas, curating exceptional aged whiskey barrels for a private bottling experience. TPR lives at the crossroads of taste, story, and connection — differentiating itself through thoughtful authorship, legacy, and community. Every bottle reflects a promise of exceptional whiskey and shared experience.

Operating as a non-distilling producer (NDP), TPR capitalizes on our ability to source, store, age, bottle, and sell whiskey barrels produced in distilleries across the US and abroad. TPR is positioned as a repeatable, capital-efficient flagship model that provides end-to-end whiskey curation.

Authorship without pretense. A shared experience that begins with a consultation and ends with a bottle that is entirely, unmistakably yours.

What We Do
Barrel Curation
We identify and procure exceptional aged whiskey barrels from distilleries across the US and abroad — leveraging deep industry relationships to access inventory unavailable to the public.
How We Serve
Real Cask Ownership
Every client receives a dedicated curation experience — from consultation through selection, aging, and private bottling. A capital-efficient model with hard assets at its core.
What We Build
Community & Legacy
TPR is a membership community built around shared taste, education, and access. Members don't just buy whiskey — they become part of the story of how it was made.
Where We Operate
Dallas, Texas · Licensed & Regulated
Operating as a licensed distiller and rectifier under TABC, with a tasting room, private event space, and on-site barrel storage — a physical home for the TPR experience.

Market Context

The Right Moment

The whiskey market has fundamentally shifted. The window for curators is open — and it will not stay open long.

The Macro Picture
  • $5.1B U.S. whiskey revenue in 2025 — 30M cases (DISCUS)
  • Revenue decline rate cut in half: -0.9% in 2025 vs. -1.8% in 2024 — the category is stabilizing, not deteriorating
  • Total spirits hold 42.4% of beverage alcohol for 4th straight year, surpassing beer
  • U.S. consumer alcohol spend rose to $428.3B in 2025 (+3.15%)
  • U.S. whiskey projected to reach $22.5B by 2031 at 6.2% CAGR
The Supply Reset
  • U.S. production down 28.3% YoY (Treasury data, Aug 2025)
  • KY holds 16.1M aging barrels vs. 2–4M annual demand
  • New-make barrel pricing reset from $1,000+ (2023 peak) to ~$600 today — improving entry economics
  • Supply tightness in aged inventory projected within 3–4 years
  • Jim Beam: 40% cut planned; Buffalo Trace: $1.02B expansion — divergence signals opportunity
The Premium Opportunity
  • Super-premium now 25% of category — up from 5% two decades ago
  • Ultra-premium (age-stated/collectible) grew ~+6% in 2024; super-premium CAGR 11.3%
  • Global luxury whiskey consumption up 19% vs. 2023
  • Whiskey ranks Top 5 alternative asset class (KPMG)
  • "There is a lot of money to be made in the next few years." — Castle & Key CFO

TPR enters at the exact moment leverage shifts to curators — where real cask ownership becomes the luxury.

"The biggest trends in whiskey is accessibility and transparency. Consumers aren't rooting for the bourbon market to collapse, but they are rooting to actually be able to buy the bottles that have been so hard to find over the last few years.

In addition, consumers are willing to try new brand extensions or entirely new brands, but they'll demand more and more transparency about what they're drinking this year. Think age statements, source of distillation, and mashbill. The time for marketing stories about grandma's super-secret family recipe being resurrected is over. Consumers will demand more in coming years, and the bourbon market will be better because of it."

What's Happening
  1. The industry overproduced whiskey
  2. Distilleries are holding excess aging inventory
  3. Premium drinkers didn't disappear; they became more selective
  4. Abundance has returned to the market — but access, ownership, and meaning remain scarce.
What That Means

As supply normalizes, advantage shifts to curators with access and discipline.

TPR enters at the exact moment leverage shifts to curators where Access Becomes the Luxury.

Business Model

Revenue Streams

Three interconnected pillars that compound over time — each feeding the next.

01
Tasting Room & Hospitality

03
Real Asset Investments
The Vault monetizes the multi-year lifecycle of owned barrels. Purpose-built for clients acquiring single or multi-cask positions as appreciating real assets — whiskey as a portfolio allocation, not just a passion.
